A reporter came to Atlanta Medical Center this morning and interviewed Doug, Tom, Michael, Michelle, and me. They will be running the story on WSB today at 4:00. The process to move Sandra to Atlanta Medical Center was initiated today. The question now is related to bed availability. As soon as a bed is available in the Acute Rehab unit, Sandra will be moved – which could be as early as today. Having them both in the same place will certainly make it easier for us. I like the idea of them being nearer to each other.
My visit to AMC wasn’t my first, but it was the first time I got to see, touch and talk to Glen since the accident. I was so happy to be able to tell him I loved him, tell him that Sandra was doing well, and tell him the kids were absolutely fine. He continues to rotate in his RotoPro bed, and it seems to be helping him a lot. I’ll leave his medical updates to Michael and Michelle, as they have the most accurate details.
Alana is running a little fever, so a few extra prayers and thoughts for her today would be wonderful. We’ll soon be off to the airport to pick up Cindy’s twin sister, Cathy. Sandra will be so happy to see her. Sandra has really enjoyed her visitors today – the principal, assistant principal, her parapro, and her dear teacher friend, Carrie brought us lunch today, and their visit made Sandra smile. They also brought us a huge container of snacks and beverages. The kindness of strangers. The increase in friends. I am amazed by all the miracles in our lives. Thank you.
