moving forward

navigating through the life that was and moving into the life that is

We took  Alana and Cameron to see Sandra today. It was just what was needed. The kids had been missing mom and she really needed to see them. She’s been asking more about Glen today and we’ve been giving brief non-specific answers. We’re not looking forward to the time when she pushes the subject harder. She keeps asking everyone to use their phone so she can call him. Today she asked someone to bring a laptop so she could get on her Facebook page. Good signs, in and of themselves, but I dread having her find out about Glen until she’s a little stronger.

They put tubes in Glen’s lungs today to drain some of the air pockets that have formed. That’s actually a good thing because it should aid in his breathing. I’m afraid they have postponed any surgery on his leg until next week, however. They simply need to be assured that he can handle it.

Abba, Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name which is above every name, we humbly come before You on behalf of Glenn and ask that You breathe Your life upon him and release the power of Your Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus you have all authority on the earth, and we pray that You send forth Your Word and heal Glenn and restore all that has been broken, because we know nothing is impossible for You and for those that believe. With grateful and sincere hearts we thank You for sparing the lives of this precious family and ask in Jesus’ Name that You strengthen them in Your grace to continue this journey of faith, and reveal Your love in such a mighty way that Jesus will be glorified and acknowledged by all. We stand on Your promises that Jesus bore our grievances, carried our sorrows, and by His stripes Glenn is healed. Abba, You said that angels are ministering spirits who do Your bidding, and we ask that You surround Glenn, Sandra, and the children with Your Angels to see them through the watches of the night and to stand sentry. Abba, we stand with this family in accordance with Your promise that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but You will deliver them from them all and that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. We praise you Abba, Father for You hear our prayers in Jesus’ Name to Him be the glory forever and ever! Amen & Amen

    PSALM 103
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
    bless his holy name!
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
    3who forgives all your iniquity,
    who heals all your diseases,
4who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
    5who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
